- Opened our mini-series, Truth & Love, neither is gray.
- II John is a powerful book – don’t let its brevity discount its message.
- John does a masterful job of balancing truth and love.
- We often emphasize one at the expense of another.
- Truth without love is legalism and love without truth is liberalism!
- When it comes to love and truth it is not either/or but both/and!
- Today we focused on love – if you miss next week you will walk lopsided!
- If you missed this week, listen online, so you don’t come next week and then walk lopsided.
- Love I Peter 2:17 & I Thess. 4:9&10
- Love everyone especially those who also walk in love and truth.

- We had a ton of our core families gone for one reason or another – I still can’t believe how many families were gone.

- Loved seeing people back for the second week in a row.

- God rarely bypasses our humanity to display His divinity
- Jesus doesn’t need your boat but He wants it
- It didn’t make sense to cast the net again except for the fact that Jesus said to
- I know many people have a great list of excuses, but just go ahead and try again anyway!
- Everyone needs a crew you can signal to
- If you don’t have a crew you don’t have a clue
- A busy and excting week coming ahead!

- If I had to use just one word to describe the weekend it would be – AMAZING!
- What a phenomenal celebration of the Resurrected Savior!
- A very conservative number I would use for the number of people who trusted Christ would be 50. It blew my mind how many people in each service raised their hand and then looked at me as we discussed their next steps. What was perhaps most incredible was the number of couple and even families sitting their together and looking at each other and looking at me. I have not seen the cards that were turned in but it was absolutely amazing.
- We had a TON of visitors
- It was the largest attendance in the history of our church
- Sat night and sunrise we had a total of 500 and that was before our three services
- Ran out of the free Bibles we were giving away to our guests
- I believe we had over 40 guests sign up for the 2 Purpose Driven Life Groups that begin next week!!!
- THANK the Lord for our new parking lot – we could have never pulled it off without the additional parking.
- So many great elements by so many great servants!
- 5 tremendous services
- Our staff did an awesome job!!
- Pam, Sandra, Diane and Rebekah did whatever was necessary and because of them, in so many ways the weekend was a sucess!! Way To Go Ladies!!!!
- Derek put together a phenomenal worship experience.
- Barry took charge in so many key areas
- John was connecting as many guests as a man could possibly connect
- Robin and Heather hosted a ton of students and I heard great things!
- So many of our volunteers went the extra mile and then another mile after that!!!!!
- We have some tremendous ministry leaders!!!
- I loved the weekend, I love pastoring Parkview, I love seeing people get saved!!!!
- I am a blessed man!!!
- I serve an AWESOME GOD and THE RISEN MESSIAH!!!!!
- I spent some time with Denise this morning, am working for a little while and playing golf this afternoon.
- Already looking forward to next weekend – What Should I Do With My Life?

- About 50 volunteers did a phenomenal job with landscaping our new parking lot!
- The campus looks great!
- Can’t wait for Easter next weekend!!
- Had some tremendous guests this weekend and alot of them!
- Worship was powerful!
- Loved preaching through Haggai the last couple weeks!!
- This week it was about Our Purpose is to Point to Him
- The Jews were to rebuild the temple so everyone could see the power, person and presence of God. The Jews were to Point to Him!
- In Haggai 2:1-9 we talked about everything from discouragement to the millenium kingdom.
- I told the congregation that I was going to walk on thin ice this weekend and would do so because I will be turning 40 this year and because I am losing my hair.
- I have never done this before but I want to share with you a very small portion of my sermon notes that was based on Haggai 2:3- That’s the way it is with a lot of older folks – they are always living in the past, always wanting the young to do things their way, live up to their ideals, always pouring cold water over new ideas and a fresh vision – you know something, there is a real danger in that.
It seems the older you are the more resistant to change you can become, and, if I may say so, often the more selfish you become. Criticizing what others may be trying do, suggesting that nothing is ever good enough.
- I then shared about when the foundation of the temple was originally being layed, Ezra 3:12-13 – My interpretation of the passage was that the old farts were weeping and the young bucks were celebrating.
- When I talked about the above stuff there was not really any tension but there were alot of laughs. Why was that? Because the Lord has sent us some wonderful peolpe who are in the 4th quarter of their life!
- My cautions to the older crew was totally in line with the admonition of Scripture. Plus, it was totally proactive and not at all reactive! We have a great group of mature believers who are both mature in years and wisdom!
- To me, one of the blessings in my ministry is the way the mature members in our church family believe in me, support me, encourage me and speak confidence into me! Thanks! I love you guys!!!
- Went to hear Hillsong tonight and had a tremendous time of worship!
- Had some real good times of fellowship with some of our church family this weekend.
- I am praying for our church family as we invite family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to join us on Easter weekend!!
- I love pastoring Parkview!!

- To God be the glory – many responded to the Gospel of Christ this weekend. It all started with 6 people trusting Christ at our Sat. night service.
- Several people personally handed me their card where they checked the box that they had personally trusted Christ as their Savior.
- When we experience such an incredible weekend, just know that it is a team effort.
- If you serve at Parkview, in ANY WAY, you had a part in people coming to faith this weekend!!
- So many of our leaders left it all on the feild this weekend.
- Our church is truly blessed with a great elder team, staff and ministry leader team.
- I am so tired that I am having trouble focusing long enough to complete this post.
- A special thanks to Rick and Carol Siboni for facilitating our Leadership Training event on Sat. morning!
- Our desire is to make Leadership Development a part of our DNA
- Many volunteers work so hard to get over 3,000 feet of irrigation installed in our new parking lot. That is over a half mile of pvc!
- We need 40 people this coming Sat. to help lay sod and mulch. 40 people could save us as much as $4,000 in labor. Come make a difference!
- Please be in prayer for our Easter services!!
- Enjoyed Steak-n-Shake tonight with the family!
